H&M policies cover the subject matter of insurance, the vessel, against several risks for a specified period of time, usually 12 months. Commonly used wordings are the Institute Time Clauses – Hulls 1.10.83, the American Clauses, the Swedish Clauses and Norwegian Hull Clauses.
Our corporate philosophy has been to place risks on A’ Class European Underwriters using the ITC – 83’ wording. The scope, basis and extent of each cover are different, depending on the preferences and needs of each individual client. However, there have been cases where we had to reach international underwriters achieving competitive and reliable placements in markets such as India, China, Japan and Singapore.
